Top Two Tuesday - Powder Blushes

Time for another edition of.....

with powder blushes! This category was VERY hard for me. I thought about splitting it into matte and shimmer but decided against it. I was able to number my favorites down to three. Yeah I know... "But Ashleigh! This is Top TWO Tuesday!" Well...my blog, my rules.

Coralista by Benefit Cosmetics - $28 from Ulta

Have you ever bought makeup because of the way it smelled? I don't know what it is, but this smells AMAZING! Sometimes when I use it I just sit there and smell it. Also, it's a great blush! It's not sparkly, but not matte either, just somewhere in the middle. This was probably my first coral blush and it's definitely my go to.

theBalm Instain Blush in Houndstooth - $22 from theBalm

I bought this as part of a kit of three Instain blushes that Kohl's was carrying around the holidays. Of the three this is the one I was super afraid of, just because of how dark it is. Once I tried it though I kicked myself for not trying something like this before. Even though it comes off super crazy scary dark in the packaging, it actually comes off very natural on my skin. It's completely matte so it just looks like a natural flush to my cheeks that I think is flattering for my face. I love all of my Instain blushes by the way, this is just my favorite. And yes! They really do stain the skin a little.

Laura Gellar Blush-N-Brighten Baked Cheek Color in Tropic Hues - $27.50 from Ulta

Glow. That's what I think of when I think of this blush. Just a natural healthy glow, without being too shimmery. No need for a highlight with this blush. The color builds beautifully on the cheek, I usually apply it in very light layers just to make sure the glow doesn't get too out of hand. This is my go to for summery looks. Note on this one, when I looked it up on the Ulta website to get the price it looks a lot different in the packaging so I'm not 100% sure it's the same formula.
