Friday Finds - Face Edition

This week it's another

This time we're focusing on face products, be it skincare or makeup. I have quite a few of them to share with you in addition to the BEST makeup remover EVER so let's not waste any time!

Some of the products this week have been around the block a few times while others just stepped out into the light. Regardless, I am in love with them all.

1. Tarte The Sculptor | $24

This is a brand new contouring product from Tarte. They have taken their infamous Park Ave. Princess bronzer and turned it into a crayon for easy application. Let me tell you, it really is easy. Draw a few lines, blend, and you're set. It's not a dark bronzer, so don't be afraid of how it looks when you first draw those lines in. Blending is key, but it blends so easy it doesn't feel like work. I really love products that not only work flawlessly, but help speed up application.

2. Cargo Swimmables Water Resistant Blush | $26

Pictured Shade: Bali
I know I blame Birchbox a lot, but it just proves how valuable Birchbox is. I got this blush as a free sample for spending $35+ in the Birchbox store. I don't experiment with blush often. Why? Well, most of the time when I do it doesn't end pretty. I got the shade Los Cabos, which is a soft tangerine. Of the three shades they could have sent me...it had to be in the coral family. It sat in a cabinet next to the send to Ashleigh box for 4 months until I got the gumption to try it out.
You think by now I would learn to try something the moment I get it instead of letting it sit. From now on, that's exactly what I'm going to do because this blush is incredible. It reminds me a lot of theBalm's InStain blush, but you don't have to be quite as careful with application. It feels weightless and stays in place through everything. When I say everything, I mean everything. I've been splashed in the face with water and then used a towel to pat dry and the blush was still there.

3. Rimmel Stay Blushed! | $3

If there is a better drugstore liquid cheek tint out there I have yet to find it. This product is great and has a smooth texture. Not too thick, and not too watered down. While it is a tint instead of a stain I find it works just as well as one. To apply I put a very tiny amount on my finger and dot it on each cheek before blending it in with a brush. In warm weather it can tend to feel just slightly tacky. To avoid it I just swipe a little setting powder over it.
Note: Ashleigh and I can not find this product easily anymore so please be aware that it may become discontinued.

4. Suki Moisture-Rich Cleansing Lotion | $29.95

Ashleigh is madly in love with this brand's exfoliate foaming cleanser, so it's not a huge surprise that I found something to fall in love with as well. This cleanser is perfect for dry skin, but it works for any skin type. It cleans without stripping away moisture, which prevents your skin from producing excess oil to compensate. A little of this product goes a long way, so keep that in mind. Also remember this product wont leave your face with that dry tight feeling most of us have come to expect. Your face is clean without that feeling I promise!
I am currently in the process of determining if this cleanser will replace my beloved Liz Earle cleanser. I wont know for sure until I am able to compare the two over the Winter months.

Now as promised, is THE best makeup remover I have ever found.

Coconut Oil | Price Varies

This works to remove every type of makeup I have ever thrown at it. Even Benefit's They're Real eyeliner came off without difficulty. I take just a little on my fingertips and massage it into my face before rinsing with warm water. Once rinsed I continue my normal cleanse, tone, moisturize, etc routine. Clearly this is not an oil-free remover, but it is a very gentle and skin friendly oil. I use an organic brand that I buy from the local Amish store but now that the many benefits of coconut oil are being spread like wildfire around the internet I'm sure you can find it almost anywhere.

That's it for this Friday! See you next week :)
