Friday Finds Volume 2

Finally, I was starting to worry Friday would never come back. Friday is not the end of my work week like it is for some, but Ashleigh's enthusiasm is enough to make me love Friday.

With that in mind welcome to volume 2 of Friday finds! This week I have 3 more products to share with you, so let's get to it.

1. Marcelle BB Cream Golden Glow | $27

This BB cream is a Birchbox exclusive. It came to me in my May box, but due to the golden glow in the product name I didn't try it until this week. I admit, I'm not a gold fan so those products usually get put aside with the coral/peach products, never to be used. I can't tell you how WRONG I was to set this aside for as long as I did.
This is such a lightweight formula it feels and looks like nothing is there. The crazy part? It has great coverage, especially for a BB cream. It is oil, perfume, and paraben free. It manages shine and stays fairly well throughout the day.
There are only three things I can say about this that may be downsides, depending on your personal preferences.
1. It comes in one universal shade. This shade is really not universal. You have to have light/medium to a medium skin tone to use the product.

2. Unlike most BB creams, this one does not have sun protection (SPF) in the formula.

3. It does have light-reflecting pigments. Normally I stay away from anything with "sparkle" in it but as this keeps my natural shine away it leaves me with a completely natural glow.

This is without doubt a BB cream I will be adding to my collection.

2. Mally Beauty Evercolor Starlight Waterproof Eyeliner | $15

Mally has stolen away my eyeliner loyalty. I can honestly say that I will not buy another Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner. Yes, it's shocking considering I'm an Urban Decay junkie, but I'll explain why.
It performs better than any other eyeliner I've tried. The color payoff is incredible and the color does not fade out. It stays put all day, and night for the times you forget to wash your face, but we don't ever do that right? ; )

The application is effortless. This eyeliner made me go from dreading application, to loving it. One swipe and you're set. A few more and you've got a wing, or any other eyeliner look.

The only negative is the ingredients if that's something you pay attention to. That being said this is one of the few non-organic/natural ingredient eyeliners that I can wear without irritation. I happen to have 2 of these in the same shade, so expect Ashleigh to mention this in the future. Who knows, she may hate it!

3. Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Moist | $3

For some reason, in my mid-20's my hair went from oil factory to dry as a bone. I had managed for a few years to deal with the issue. Oils, hair masks, not using the hair dryer often, the list goes on.

For some other unknown reason, after my last haircut it went from manageable to full out nightmare. I didn't color or chemically treat my hair, the salon uses quality products, and I didn't change my normal routine. It was time for a trip to the store to find something that could help. I had in mind what I wanted to get, and the store no longer carried any of the 4 products I was looking for.

Well...now what? Enter Ashleigh through text message. She sent me a few photos of products to try, and this was one of them. I figured for $3 I wouldn't be crushed if it didn't work. She had never tried it, so I was on my own.
This was the best try and hope it performs product I've purchased. It worked wonders and my hair no longer feels like straw. With just one use my hair is smooth, silky, and behaves itself once again. Due to the ingredients, and the overpowering fragrance I will only use this in case of emergencies, but I'm glad to have it on stand-by.

That's it for this Friday! Next Friday I may return to Frantic Friday. Who knows, I may have a surprise up my sleeve.

~Amanda
