My Favorite Makeup Books

I love makeup books. They're such a great way to learn. Things like new techniques, product types you've never used, makeup looks, and even how to build your makeup collection. I have a bunch of books, but here are a couple of my favorites!

 

Bobbi Brown Makeup Manual - $22 at Amazon.com

This is my number one favorite book. It covers everything about makeup. From the basics, all the way up to really elaborate makeup looks. It's made by Bobbi Brown, so it centers a lot around her products, but it doesn't interfere with getting the information you want.

Eye Candy by Linda Mason - $10.71 at Amazon.com

This book is full of some really pretty eye looks. Some of them are a little bit out there for me, but I find that even those are great for getting inspiration for a new look.

Bobbi Brown Everything Eyes - $9.45 at Amazon

Bobbi Brown again! Still pretty centered around her products, but there is some really wonderful information in here. Product suggestions, techniques, and eye looks to create and get inspiration from.

Making Faces by Kevyn Aucoin - $22 at Amazon

Look at that cover, itsn't it beautiful? Love this book for it's section of full makeup looks. I kinda wish I had it in hardback because it is pretty flimsy. I'm extra careful about how I store it. The only downside is that it's pretty big, 11.9x9, so it's not the easiest book to travel with.

Sephora The Ultimate Guide by Melissa Schweiger - $21.69 at Amazon

This book doesn't just stop at makeup. It really does cover everything beauty EXCEPT nails. It has a ton of makeup suggestions. It's made by Sephora (obviously) so if Sephora doesn't, or hasn't sold it, don't expect it to be in here. The model on the cover is Maggie Rizer but at first I thought it was this girl

 Nicole Fox from Cycle 13 (the Petite Season) of America's Next Top Model.

My makeup book wish? I would love a makeup book by Emily of BeautyBroadcast and EmilyNoel83 on Youtube. Anyone agree?
