Top Two Tuesday - Eye Primers

Another week, another....

This week we're going to be going over eyeshadow primers, but we're going to be doing things a little different today. I only use one eyeshadow primer. Yeah really, I have a couple deluxe sample sizes of other primers but I have one that I use pretty much everytime. So since this is Top TWO Tuesday, and I only have one top product, Amanda is going to be joining us with her top eyeshadow primer. Check out below!

Urban Decay Primer Potion in Original - $20 from Urban Decay

Not really a big surprise here. I LOVE this primer for many reasons. First, the consistency is just right; it's not too runny and not so chunky that I have a hard time applying it. I also love that it helps even out the tone of my eyelids which makes my eyeshadow look even better. I don't have any problems blending over this product at all, which is one of the complaints I've heard. I'm pretty faithful to the original formula, but I have tried the other potions and liked them just the same. I have really oily lids and DEEP creases, and this keeps my eyeshadow in place for about 6-8 hours which is plenty!

Too Faced Shadow Insurance - $20 from Sephora

Like Ashleigh, I used to use Urban Decay Primer Potion religiously. That was at least, until I tried this product. There are two main reasons why I switched to this eye primer. One, the ingredient list is more friendly, which for my sensitive eyes is a HUGE plus. Second, in addition to keeping my eyeshadow flawless, it actually helps enhance the pigment of my eyeshadows. I have no idea how it does it, but the colors just pop. It doesn't matter what brand of eyeshadow it is either. The only downside to note is you NEED to massage the tube before using the product, especially if you have a sample size. If you don't you'll get an oily mess on your fingertips instead of the creamy primer.

Check back next week for my top two cream eyeshadows!
