Top Two Tuesday - Setting Powder

Welcome to....

the setting powders edition!

If you're like me, you turn into an oil slick halfway through the day. That also means you know how important setting powders are. This step is also crucial for setting my under eye concealer.

Let's get started shall we?

NYX Stay Matte but Not Flat Powder Foundation - $9.99 from Ulta

This is my ultimate mattifying setting powder. I use this to set my undereyes, t-zone, or anything that just needs that matte touch. It works amazing, doesn't look powdery on the skin, and doesn't accentuate pores. What more could a girl ask for? Well.....

NARS Light Reflecting Pressed Setting Powder - $35 from Sephora

Want to hide those pores? This is your product. I sweep this, NOT BUFF, across my nose, cheeks, forehead, and chin. It just sweeps those pores away. I don't find that it does anything to really help with staying power, and it does give some glow to the skin, but how can you not love something that blurs those pores? Obviously I have the pressed version. I have not tried the loose powder, but maybe that is something I need to look into.

We're done with our faces! Time to move on to eyes! Next week we'll start with brows so check in then!

P.S. October Makeup Mini Update: Still going strong.... technically. I overslept today and I've got BB Cream and a Tarte Lipsurgence on, that's it. I did a really great eye look on Saturday though so look for that tutorial later this week!
