Cranberry Crush & October Makeup Challenge Update #3

Finally... I know I promised this post would be up on Tuesday, but time got away from me!

A couple of weekends ago, my Brother came home from college for the weekend and I went to my Mom's house to see the family. My Mom is one of those people that teases me for never wearing makeup, so I made sure to spend the time to do a full look that day and I was really happy with the way it turned out!

Let's take a look at how I did it!

Untitled #11
Face:

I first started by applying my Mac Prep + Prime Refined Zone to my T-Zone. This helps me from getting too oily. I then used my It Cosmetics Feel the Moment Anti-Aging Ultra Hydrating Sensory Awakening Primer. This product gives my skin an even texture and I wasn't terribly worried about staying power so I wasn't concerned that this lacks that for me. I next used my Revlon Colorstay Whipped foundation applied with a BeautyBlender. I had forgotten how great this foundation is, it applies and wears beautifully. I used Rimmel London Match Perfection concealer set with NYX Stay Matte but Not Flat powder foundation.

I contoured with my NARS Contour Blush in Olympia and used Laura Gellar Baked Highlighter Duo on the highest points of my face. I layered Maybelline Master Glaze Blush stick in Make A Mauve and TheBalm Instain in Houndsooth to round out the look. I finished up by sweeping NARS Light Reflecting Setting Powder over my T-Zone.

Untitled #12
Brows: I used my Too Faced Brow Envy palette to fill in my brows and set them with Chella Eyebrow Defining Gel.

Eyes: I primed my lids by layering Urban Decay Primer Potion and Mac Paint Pot in Painterly. I picked up this trick from Kristen Gehm, I find it gives me amazing staying power and provides a blank canvas for my eyeshadows. I used all Mac Eyeshadow in this look. I first applied Cranberry all over the lid and blended into the crease. I placed Twinks in the outer corner, and blended it up slightly into the crease to deepen it. I finished by using All That Glitters in the inner corner and on the brow bone. I used Essence Gel Liner in Midnight in Paris to create a slightly winged eyeliner look. I primed my lashes with It Cosmetics Tightline Full Lash Black Primer and then used Mac Haute & Naughty mascara on the top and bottom lashes.

Lips: I used one of my favorite lip combos this day just because I thought it would look great with this eye look. It's the perfect your lips but better color combo. I applied Revlon Colorstay Just Bitten Balm Stain in Honey and Buxom Full-on Lip Polish in Dolly. They both have that minty quality to them and they work great together.

October Makeup Challenge Week #3:
Yeah.... I didn't do a full makeup look all week. Every day it was BB cream, concealer, cheek tint, mascara and some kind of jumbo lip pencil. I was just exhausted every morning and could not get myself up in enough time to really focus on a look. Maybe things will be better this week.

Till next time,
<3 Ashleigh
