Good morning everyone, or is it afternoon? With a bottle lamb on the farm I'm having trouble keeping track of the time and the days. With that as my inspiration let's switch things up!
I'll start with this month's Birchbox and after Ashleigh posts give you my Ipsy review as well. So let's go!
Here is a photo of what I got this month from Birchbox. The theme is Rainy Days.
Now that you see the full size products and their cost here is the box itself. The postcard and fun pull out card has tips on what to do during a rainy day. How appropriate that today it's raining like crazy!
Now it's time to dig in and see what we have going on. It's always fun to see what variations of each product they send, or how large the sample size is.
I was not even going to try this. My skin does not handle exfoliation well as I've said before. I read the reviews on Birchbox and decided to try it last night. I am FLOORED by how well this worked. It was not the most comfortable experience, but it did smell lovely and didn't irritate my face after the initial discomfort. Not only did it not irritate my skin, but my skin was smooth as silk and my recent breakout vastly improved with just one use. I wish I had taken before and after photos but I had no idea it would work as I was anticipating to breakout further. I will alternate this cleanser with my Liz Earle so I use it every other day and once my sample runs out if it continues to work I will be ordering the full size.
I'll be completely honest with you, I have not used this yet. The reason is twofold. One, I am so enamored with my current shampoo and conditioner that I'm terrified to change it. Two, I have a hair appointment on Tuesday morning that may require this product afterwords. What I can tell you about the product is it smells heavenly and has a few hair healthy plant-based proteins and extracts. However, the sulfates and parabens in the product counteract the good stuff.

| One coat on bare nail |
I love and hate Color Club polishes. I love them because they stay on forever, but I hate them because they never want to come off once I've put them on! I guess it's a good thing I was looking for a long wearing polish to put on. The color I got from this collection was Gold Struck. I would describe it as a light rose gold with the gold being predominate over the rose tones. As you can see with just one coat over a bare nail the coverage is decent.

| Swatch applied without any blending |
I am on the fence about this product. I recently made a choice to move away from powder blush to cream and stain formulations. The reason for the change is due to my foundation switch from liquid to powder foundation. Don't get me wrong, I still use liquid but 8 times out of 10 I use my trusty powder foundation.
When they call this a cream, they mean it!
At first I thought it may be so soft due to the temperature outside when my box was delivered, but after letting it sit inside it really is a soft cream. It blends well but if you blend too much it can vanish. It can also feel a bit rough if you use it on your lips. The color I sampled was Pie, which I would call a peach toned strawberry shade. If I end up with this palette I will do a more in depth review.
Ahem to you Birchbox for being SOLD OUT! I am in love with these and will be buying them once Birchbox has them once again, or elsewhere if I can't stand the wait. Not only was this delicious and filling, but it was easy to eat while stuck in the barn at 3:30am with lambs. What makes this even better is it's made with whole grains, and gluten and GMO free. It doesn't get much better than that. They have many varieties and the one I sampled (Maple Pumpkin Seed) sounded the least appetizing of the varieties but I want another one and ASAP!
That's it for the products in my box this month, but I wanted to mention something new Birchbox is doing for customers that review their monthly products and purchase items from their shop. It's called Birchbox Aces and it doesn't take much to be one!
If you accumulate 500 Birchbox points or more in a calendar year you are automatically eligible. With Ace status shipping is always free and if you spend over $100 the free shipping gets upgraded to two day! There are also exclusive shop offers, anniversary perks, and more with Ace status.

Keep your eyes out for my April Ipsy review and a special post about my trip to the hair salon on Tuesday which will be posted on Wednesday to not conflict with Ashleigh's Top Two!
Be back soon!
