This Throwback Thursday features products I LITERALLY wish I could throwback to wherever I got them from.
It's not very often that I buy a product that I absolutely regret buying. I try to always do my research on products. I do this by reading blogs and watching youtube videos from people I trust to give real reviews, and not reviews based on the money flowing into their pockets.
In the case of the following five products, I did not do my research. Most of these were impulse buys, things I saw on Pinterest, items I thought I would love based on previous experience with the brand, or items that I thought were similar to other products that I may have seen in a review.

Keep in mind that this is just my opinion. You may absolutely love these products and you are more than welcome to your opinion as well.
Lorac The Stylist Palette
This product was on a special sale on Hautelook for $15. $15?! I have the Lorac Pro Palette & how can they possibly sell something as awesome as a Lorac palette for only $15?! Well I'll tell you, because the quality of these eyeshadows is NOWHERE near the quality of those in the Pro Palette. Those shadows are buttery smooth and go on beautiful & blend like a dream. These are dry and are very hit & miss on color payoff. Actually, most of these shadows just plain suck. Save the $15 and save it towards a Pro Palette or Pro Palette 2.
Smashbox Photo Finish Color Correcting Primer
It's a known fact that green cancels out red right? So a primer that's green should correct redness right? Wrong. I have never noticed a single difference after using this product. It also sucks as a primer. On top of everything else, I'm pretty sure it made me break out causing an even bigger need to cancel out redness! Triple fail. Thankfully I only bought the small size of this product so I only flushed a portion of the full size $38 down the drain.
Ben Nye Final Seal Matte Makeup Sealer
Oh pinterest! This is what the Disney Princesses wear they said... It lasts through sweat & hugs they said.... You can't see it or feel it they said... WELL THEY'RE LIARS! Ugh. This was just a huge disappointment. Yeah sure it makes your makeup stay, only because it makes your face feel like it's been covered in shellac! "You can't see it!" Well I guess that's sort of true because yes you can't see the actual product, but what you do see are these little dots that look like dry spots or healing pimples under your skin. Not attractive at all. Maybe it's just the spray bottle itself that causes that, but I don't think I'll ever give it a chance to prove that. Again, thankful I bought the smallest version they sell.
Benefit Dr. Feel Good
I bought this product thinking it would be similar to the Mally Poreless Face Defender. No. No. No. First, it feels nothing like it. It doesn't work like it. The worst part about it is the smell. Oh GOD! It smells like a citronella candle! WHO WANTS THEIR FACE TO SMELL LIKE THAT?! Ew. That is all.
theBalm Betty-Lou Manizer
Really, to be honest the only thing I don't like about this product is the sparkle. I just don't like sparkly bronzer.
Till next time,
<3 Ashleigh
