Hey Everybody!
Today I decided to do my eye makeup with a pop of olive so I thought I'd share the look as my first post!
Face Products:
First I used Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre as a primer, then used a Sigma F82 brush to apply Sephora 10Hour Wear Perfection Foundation in 20 Cream, I used a Beauty Blender to really even out the foundation. I applied Covergirl & Olay Simply Ageless Eye Concealer in 210 with my finger and set it with Ben Nye Cameo Visage Luxury Power with a MAC 224 brush. I used a MAC 138 brush to apply Too Faced Chocolate Soleil bronzer, a MAC 134 brush to apply Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour blush in Flush and finally a MAC 168 to apply Laura Gellar highlighter in French Vanilla (not pictured). I used a RealTechniques Powder Brush to sweep NARS Crystal Light Reflecting Setting Power to set the look.
Eye Products:
First I filled in my eyebrows with Benefit Gimmie Brow in Medium/Deep. I then used my finger to apply MAC Pro Paintpot in Painterly as a base all over my lid. Using my Naked 1 palette I used a MAC 252 to apply Sidecar all over the lid, a MAC 217 to blend Buck into the crease, a Sigma E36 to blend Naked to blend out Buck and then a MAC 242 to apply Virgin as a highlight on my brow bone. I took Tarte Skinny Smoldereyes Liner in Azurite Green on my lower lashline and then used Darkhorse from the Naked palette on a MAC 219 brush to set and to also cover up the surprising amount of teal in that liner. I lined my upper lashes with the brown side of an Ulta Double Ended Line and lined my waterline with Rimmel ScandalEyes in Nude. I curled my lashes and applied DiorShowMaximizer primer, used Tarte Lights Camera Flashes on my upper lashes and Maybelline Lash Discovery Waterproof on my lower lashes.
Lip Products:
I first primed my lips with Too Faced Lip Insurance then applied Lipstick Queen in Saint Pinky Nude.
Overall I was happy with the way it turned out. The lipstick is the perfect "Your lips but better" shade. I was really surprised with how teal the Skinny Smoldereyes is, and I'll probably find a different liner that is darker if I want to do this look again. It was my first time using this Sephora foundation, I absolutely love the older formulat (Instant Radiance) and so far I'm happy with the way the 10hour Wear applied and wears.
FYI: Something Amanda and I both completely forgot to mention is that while yes, we've been best friends for over 10 years, we actually live several states apart, and always have. We've only ever met four times our entire friendship so if you ever see a joint video from us it'll be a huge thing!
Random Tidbits!
- Amanda is getting ready for a Halloween event as I get this post ready, expect a post from her about her hair and makeup soon!
- Last night I found an adorable cartoon that sums up my friendship with Amanda perfectly when one of us is having a bad day. See it here!
- My dog Cyrus is being a total lazy bum as I type this post!
